Love these gates, had one from a different manufacturer for years but it’s no longer available so I bought two of these ones. ONLY bad thing I can say the plastic rod thing in the middle keeps getting stuck and doesn’t retract. We cut it out, problem solved. Since it is taller than most gates, I didn’t want to return it. Apart from that, it’s good. If you have the same problem, just cut it out lol

Overly big for what i need but is quality. Ordered as a reviewer for our dogs. this is a rather large gate considering the price. we have a false wooden partition in our front room to break up the living space, this partition has an opening in the middle so needed a gate to affix in between to keep the dogs in the back half of the room at night time while we are asleep. as we have a dog that likes to chew cushions from the sofa. we only needed a standard gate (under 1 meter) for this gap but at least now have the option of opening up the gap in the partition should we wish to. The gate is replacing an old one that has worn out similar to this one. Material wise the netting is actually thicker than our old one, the spring retention is also a lot more stiffer at holding the gate up even at full stretch it holds up thanks to its auto locking function once applied however if you miss hooking it on then you will need to release it again, would have preferred an option to keep unlocked until it is definitely on. Installation wise the lower bracket is movable up and down so is perfect for fixing to walls with skirting boards as this one is designed to sit on the floor flush with enough space for the skirting board, the bottom one can be placed anywhere near the bottom however the top one needs to be specifically placed at a certain height for it to lock in to the wall brackets. (note: you only get 2 wall brackets where as other kits come with 4 so you can have 2 locations to install and move around to suit ie top of stairs at night and then move to bottom of stairs during the day for toddlers.) For the length of this though it is very good value considering a standard much shorter gate can run up to the same price point, for me the main benefit will be the height to keep the dogs in a certain area at night so on this basis this is a 5 star product.

I set this up and you didn't require a lot of DIY knowledge it was up and on the wall with a screwdriver. The ease of installation was fine and it was reasonably sturdy once it was up. It fitted a wide area and looked good with a decent design. I am reasonably happy with the product and the price wasn't that bad either. The only thing I would say is fixing it to a fixed point on a wall so it was movable was fine but I found the fixing points to be slightly flimsy.

I love love love this gate. I have other similar styles to this baby/pet gate but this is the tallest one so far and it is brilliant ! I love the colour black as it ties in better with my furnishings and not so in your face . As like the others this is very well made and robust but the science behind it is just amazing . I have thrown away all of the old fashioned metal gates and replaced them with these . I use the gates to keep our very nosey German shepherd away from areas she does not belong in like the kitchen , and they work perfectly . Setup and install took a bit of time but once you screw in the gate holders and it’s up it won’t move. Retracting is easy and it just flows . I cannot recommend this gate enough 5/5
