Just the job! Bought gate of this type as daughter has one and it suited the top of my stairs better than solid gate type. Having read some of the reviews, I read the assembly instructions through before starting to fix. It was then very easy to fix using the templates to correctly locate. I found the instructions straight forward. I am using the gate to keep my large dog either upstairs or downstairs depending on where my granddaughter is. Started the dog training and she is not bothered by the gate at all. Fairly easy to operate (I have arthritis in my hands). I like the way that there are 2 sets of brackets so can relocate the gate easily. Due to the type of material, it does not stand out too much at the top of the stairs when it is closed. I would recommend this retractable gate to anyone.

Gate is perfect if you don’t want it to be too imposing on your landing like us. However, we are finding it tricky to use, especially with one hand (impossible) so having to put our baby down to open the gate, which isn’t ideal. Also, the gate is not overly quiet. Glad we went for this choice as we are just making it work for us, however it is harder to use than we imagined.

I got this for my wife doorway which does not fit the standard gate. It was easy enough to install. The only problem I found was that it’s loose on the bottom so if my little one realises this they will be able to crawl under it! For the price I did expect better quality and for it to not be loose. You also need 2 hands to open and close it so not ideal if you have a baby or items in your hands!

Bought 2 gates for the top and bottom of the stairs to prevent our grandson heading straight for them when he is at our house. Installing them was fairly easy however although the gate required 2 hands to allow you to pull the mesh fabric across the opening and secure it to the fastenings on the other side it could be released by literally just pulling the handle towards you. If you did this it would spring open forcefully and could cause injury to a toddler. Before our grandson visited my husband had adapted the lock to ensure the lock couldn’t be released accidentally (using Allan keys to block the gate from springing out of its holding). This is a major design fault which has only been rectified by my husband’s quick thinking. I cannot recommend this product until this design has been altered.

Straight forward to install and has a second set of brackets so can be quickly relocated to a second location. Easy single handed operation so you can open it whilst holding the baby (turn the release knob then open). Much prefer this to the bulky baby gates of old

Wow how can you complicate a product's fitting instructions to this extent, then spoil the product further by sticking a permanent warning sticker, written in various languages on the most prominent area of the safety gate! I'm usually pretty good with DIY but there are pages and pages of complicated instructions and disclaimers, then there's various fitting variations and loads of parts left over at the end. The product when finally fitted seems pretty good to be fair, but I now have a safety gate with a big permanent warning sticker shouting out at everyone who passes it! Why couldn't that have been put in a less prominent place, or made removable? If the company would like to send a replacement without that hideous sticker attached I would rate the product higher. What a shame they've over complicated the instructions and spoilt the product this way. Why did I not just send it back I hear you ask? Well the gate is pretty good and after battling for several hours to work out the instructions I can't bring myself to take it back down. Very disappointed by the product and annoyed in that horrid sticker!

Super ,je suis assistante maternelle et j’ai 3 étages ... beaucoup d’escaliers .... j’ai acheté une barrière l’année dernière en 83 cms de hauteur et rien à dire ! Installation facile, maniable , simple à ouvrir , même d’une seule main quand on a pris l’habitude , juste un bémol sur le bruit : elle est bruyante mais sinon facile d'utilisation, secure c’est l’essentiel et esthétique ! ( une fois ouverte , elle se fond dans le décor et on ne la voit même plus ....) Malheureusement , j’en ai acheté une deuxième plus grande 93 cms de hauteur , zut ! ces barrières sont super car ellrs sont livrées avec un double jeu d’accroche , afin de pouvoir déplacer les barrières, ce qui est pratique ! Je souhaitais en acheter une deuxième pour la positionner constamment à l'étage du haut , mais j’ai pris par erreur une autre plus autre trop haute sans m’en rendre compte ! Du coup impossible de l’installer sur mon escalier !( dommage ..... le fabricant ne la fabrique plus en 83 !!!) j’aurais du en prendre deux dés le dêpart ! Je vais devoir la retourner .....Dans tous les cas , commandez sans hésiter : rapport quali prix : impec ! Et en plus elle va jusqu’à 140 cms de largeur !!

Recensione breve anche perché l'ho acquistato e l'ho reso subito. L'ho reso perche pensavo fosse più semplice da montare, o meglio, nel mio caso c'era da smanettarci troppo. Bè, in poche parole servono dei buchi nel muro e nel mio caso non volevi farli. Ho optato per i classici cancellati che si fissano a pressione. Ovviamente il modello col fissaggio al muro è magari più solido, ma se comunque il bambino ci cade addosso potrebbe aprirsi comunque visto che è a calamita e si arrotola. Dipende dall'uso che dovete farci e dove volete posizionarlo.
