It weights less than my dog who is 3kg. Having said that it’s great for me as it’s super lightweight I can carry it around the house with ease. Not the best looking or quality but I plan to spray paint it anyway

Now I'm not denying if our dogs were a bit more balsy they could probably get the better of this easily, either bulldozing or jumping it- but for our two- who just needed a physical deterrent- it's been brilliant, versatile and arrived quickly. We love that it corsatinas and can be moved around-unexpectedly, it's actually doubled up perfectly as something we can fold out entirely and guard the sofa with- which has been great if we don't want to block them from a room entirely when just popping out! Having had baby gates in the past and insisting- after copious stubbed toes, that I would not have another traditional-style gate again- nor something that had to be screwed into the walls (renting)- this has been the perfect alternative for us. If your dog is a Houdini/just won't accept a physical barrier as game over- this prob isn't the right solution for you, but if you need something practical, movable and they do give up quickly when shut off phyically- it's brill👍

Bought to stop elderly dogs going down stairs. Gap to fill is an awkward shape so the three piece hinged option works well. It absolutely would not be suitable for lively big dogs or robust crawling kids. Wood struts are not well secured and have come unglued. Hinges are weak. Be warned. Three stars because it suits our needs.

I was delighted with the speed and quality of the packaging unfortunately, that's where the positivities stop! The wood is very light and therefore my 12 week old puppies simply chewed the thin wooden bars. The brass hinges are so small and soft that they have bent out of shape after setting up and folding out of the way, this has left the edges of the hinges exposed and they are quite sharp and therefore again, not suitable for puppies. The gate is so light that using it outside is futile as it simple tips over in the slightest of breezes. the construction is very poor and the end supports have come off at the top! So, one week after the purchase I have elected to purchase a good old fashioned walk-through stair gate!

Great little wooden gate which discourages my dog from going where I don’t want him, good value for money and sturdy. Ideal size but wont be much good for large breeds.

I feel annoyed that I paid the best part of £30 for this stair gate and in a few weeks 2 of the dowels holding it together have broken from moving it around. The internal dowels holding it together are very cheap and light weight so poorly designed. I have glued them which has made them much stronger. But expected better for the money. Cheaply made somewhere with large markup I suspect.
