I originally bought this gate off another person but the door broke off after a few months of me having it. So I bought the exact same ones new because I liked this gate so much. The door width is bigger than other brands which is good for walking through with baskets of clothing or for larger people. I have one for the bottom of my stairs and the top of our basement stairs because those are the highest traffic places we need gates. Easy to follow install. We use this because we have kids but the person I bought the used one was from a person with a dog so it is effective for both kids and dogs.

This gate is great. It opens in two directions (outward and inward) which was a bonus. it was easy to install and is very sturdy. The gate opening to go through is wide and will shut by itself. It will stay open if opened all the way. It was purchased to keep my daughters pit bull/bulldog mix from roaming the house while not home. It's still in training. Very pleased with this product.
