if i could give 0 stars i would. it came absolutely battered full of scratches and dents. unfortunately we couldn’t send it back as needed it asap. so we made do with it. after two days of using it, we have now notice the screws that hold the fence and gate together just fall out all the time which is not only a pain in the … but also a choking hazard for my toddler! and then to top it off the gate doesn’t fit properly and the gate lock is the stupidest design iv seen. its not worth the cardboard it was sent in let alone fit for purpose. will be throwing it out for scrap when i can afford a better one next month. SMH 🤦‍♀️

It does the job perfectly. My biggest issue was unpacking and finding that the pole within the door panel had popped out. It took me and my neighbour hours to give up trying to figure out how it goes in correctly. There is a video online which will help. You need to carefully take off part of the plunger on the handle, feed the pole through this - you need to carefully force it through, it then holds in place in the plunger (as opposed to simply falling through every time you open the gate). Raw plugs were useless but have loads of my own. Looks great ... in the end. I only fixed it on one side but it feels sturdy enough to only need it - the unattached side is tucked into a corner. The last issue seems to be a common one - the end pieces do not allow for the skirting boards. I simply hacksawed them off level with the last pole and put some cushioning over them to cover the sharp edges. There may be simpler alternatives but I couldn't think of one. All in all I am happy thanks

Great item. We took one panel away as didn't need it. Easy enough to put together. The only thing that would make it better for us, would be if it didn't have to be fixed to the wall at both ends. So it could be folded out of the way most of the time. We only wanted it for when we are out for a few hours to keep furry friends out of an area. If at one end there was just a hook or easy fastening and you could pull it out from the wall for use occasionally. But it is a good item.
