The dog guard is sufficient for my needs however the wood is very rough and the paint job is poor. I will use it for the dog but I would worry if i had young children who might hurt themselves, splinters etc. A high price for bad workmanship.

Very late arriving - wood is terrible, not sanded - stained with black marks. Would work as a gate if you had a dog that didn't jump or push it, otherwise it would be useless as no weight to it and it would fall straight over. Totally overpriced for what you actually get.

I have 3 gates all different. This is the cheapest, hinges are one way and has no feet for extra stability, but not just the the gate itself feels much cheaper with the wood not looking or feeling as nice as either of the other two. The wood is spilt a little where the hinges are screwed in too. I only use this at the back door to stop the dog coming in if muddy and is wedged in place by the door. Unlike the other two I would not use this one as a free standing gate as it is no where near as stable as the other two gates I have.
