We used this gate at the bottom of the stairs so our puppy wouldn't climb up and possibly fall back down. It worked a treat. We didn't have to use any screws, we used plastic cups on the wall instead. Once we removed the gate, these did leave marks on the wall. So while you don't have to use screws, you might still have damage by fitting the gate securely. The gate looks smart. Ours is black, and looks a better than a bright white gate that draws your attention. It's easy to fit, but as mentioned. Even when not using screws, you can end up with some slight damage against any walls. We could have possibly got away with not fitting it so tightly, but safety and protection came first. Once fitted it's extremely easy to open and close the gate. It becomes second nature after a while. We didn't have any issues of the gate becoming loose, there's hand screws you can turn in order to tighten the fit. These are extremely easy to use. Although we've removed the gate now, we've kept it. We had another type before this one which was absolutely useless. So storing this one just in case.

Narrow living room door, so needed a narrow fitting stairgate to stop kids and dog escaping! Self closing, but you can keep gate open with a shoe which we do sometimes! Worth every penny.

Have no regrets purchasing this gate. Well made / easy to fit as long as you follow the instructions. Several people have downgraded this stairgate because it is quite noisy when being locked especially at night. I have found a very easy solution to this so am passing this on - simply unscrew the catch in the same manner as if reversing the opening direction. You will see the magnet is held in place within a circular recess in the catch. Cut a piece of cycle inner tube rubber to fit in it and place in the recess followed by the magnet and replace the catch. As long as the rubber (or piece of cardboard) isn't so thick as to reduce the magnetic strength to the point the catch doesn't work, you will have reduced the "loud" click sound to an acceptable level!! In mine I used one piece of rubber and one piece of thin card to get the result I was happy with.

We have 2 of these and they have both failed and can be pushed open. This is a major safety issue and a child could easily be hurt. Be aware when buying one, they are dangerous and not safe at all.

Kurz und knapp gesagt, Einbau in wenigen Minuten, sehr einfache Handhabung, Werkzeug wird nicht dabei benötigt, sitzt fest. Ich suchte nach einem Schutzgitter, wegen meinen 52 cm hohen Hund, für meine Tür zum Schlafzimmer. Da die Breite nicht Normgerecht war, brauchte ich ein Gitter was nicht so breit war, aber es sollte schon einfach in der Handhabung sein und stabil. Diesen Zweck erfüllt das Gitter in allen lagen. Bin damit zu frieden, würde es sogar wieder kaufen, wenn es mal kaputt gehen sollte.

Este puerta está genial. Es muy fácil abrir para pasar a la cocina donde lo usamos para tener un cachorro nuevo que tenemos en casa. Incluso mi hija de 7 años lo abre sin problemas y tiene un contrapeso para que se cierra sólo lo cual es muy cómodo. Tambien se puede dejar entre abierta su lo echas atras del todo. Entra perfecto en el hueco de 70 cm de la puerta y está muy seguro puesto sólo con el montaje a presion sin tener que taladrar.

Thankfully, Amazon makes returns easy, but keep in mind that some items aren’t eligible for returns. That said, this product is fantastic! Nous n'avons pas beaucoup de choix car l'escalier est étroit et je dois dire que je suis satisfaite, la qualité semble au rendez-vous, la livraison est rapide, la barrière est belle, le mode d'emploi est simple et l'installation se fait rapidement. Je recommande fortement. Le bouton pour ouvrir ne sert à rien car il suffit juste de soulever la barrière et le loquet s'ouvre de lui même, même si on a fermé la barrière comme indique sur le mode d'emploi mais c'est pas plus mal car ça n'empêche que le jour où l'enfant arrivera à soulever la barrière pour l'ouvrir n'est pas arrivé... je tiens à préciser que ce n'est pas un simple soulèvement il faut la soulever sur plusieurs centimètre. J'ai ajouté des protections pour le mur.
