In a nutshell: Things I liked: + As a space saving barrier, it's great. Doesn't take up much room compared to a standard baby gate and creates a perceptible barrier to prevent your baby accessing dangerous areas. Locks in place on the non-hooking end. + You can actually use it to divide up (narrow) rooms if required (under 350cm wide). A very underrated concept! + Operation is simple - although you have to ensure you gently guide it back to the reel so it doesn't get caught up. This is quite natural to do. + £46 seems pretty fair value. Things I didn't like: - As you should expect, the gate has a little bit of flex, even when locked. Not a lot, but just a few cm. As a ground level barrier, this is not a problem, even at the bottom of the stairs. However, if you were intending to use it at the top of the stairs, put it a short distance away from the top step and make sure there's no chance the bottom of the gate could be pulled or pushed over the drop of the first step. Do I recommend it? Yes. A clever solution when space is at a premium or to create a barrier across larger gaps.

This super practical gate has so many benefits, it's hard to know where to start! Firstly, it can fit to any width, up to 3.5 meters. This is excellent for us as we have a narrow hallway and most standard gates are simply too wide! Another major benefit for us is that we don't want the gate to be so visible when it's not in use. When it's retracted, it's hardly noticeable, unlike an ugly metal gate that is in full view all the time... Installation didn't take long, you get all the parts and screws you need though it's important to note that you will need to affix this gate to the wall, unlike other pressure gates which don't require making holes. Opening the gate is so smooth and easy, it takes a second and when it's closed it's entirely safe and a child cannot open this on their own. We are confident that our baby is safe and will not fall down the stairs with this installed. The gate is easy to clean, you literally wipe down the fabric. We were nervous about this due to the light colour but you don't need to worry. I also have to mention that you can open the gate using just one hand, which really comes in handy if you're going up the stairs holding the baby etc...

We have a normal babky gate in that its made of metal and swings outwards. Its forever getting in the way and swinging open and getting caught on the pram so we we thought we would try this baby gate. Installation is really simple and straight forward , the brackets come with sticky backing on so you can mount them all before you screw them in place. This helps align them correctly before mounting and also keeps them in place when screwing them to the door frame. As the gate is retractable it keeps well out of the day when it use and although the locking mechanism takes a bit of getting used to it works well once you get used to using it. The gate is also really robust although probably not the best for larger dogs as they would probably wreck it but for toddlers and pups its more than strong enough.

Ich bin sehr zufrieden mit dem ausziehbaren Schutz, ich verwende es im Treppenhaus über zwei Treppen, da diese schräg sind und ein klemmgitter nicht infrage gekommen wäre. Der Schutz ist jetzt nach knapp einem Jahr noch immer super und funktioniert einwandfrei. Montage war auch einfach und schnell :)

Rejilla de protección que hemos instalado en las escaleras de la casa de mis padres para impedir el paso de mi hija y evitar que se pueda caer por las escaleras. De lo que más destacaría es su flexibilidad para adaptarse a distintas áreas como escaleras puertas pasillos sin tener que hacer obra y de una manera rápida y sencilla. Tiene una longitud máxima de 3 m y medio y una altura de 84 cm lo que permite cubrir muchas áreas con formas y tamaños diferentes. Desde que la hemos instalado nos sentimos mucho más tranquilos ya que la peque estaba todo el día intentando subir las escaleras lo que nos obligaba a estar constantemente vigilándola. Otro punto por destacar es la facilidad para poder retraerla completamente de tal manera que nos es sencillo poder pasar y volver a cerrarla con una simple mano. Otro punto que me preocupaba era la robustez y rigidez del producto, pero una vez instalado te sorprende lo duro que queda aun siendo de rejilla. Por todos estos detalles y por tener un precio bastante asequible teniendo en cuenta lo que es considero que es un buen producto que podría recomendar y que voy a usar hasta que mi hija sea mucho más mayor.

Das Treppenschutzgitter macht einen hochwertigen Eindruck und wirkt gut verarbeitet. Leider war in der Beschreibung nicht genau ersichtlich, wie das Gitter angebracht wird. Dadurch stellte sich heraus, dass es für unseren Einsatzzweck nicht geeignet ist. Schade, denn die Qualität hätte überzeugt.
