Yes, so the instructions are a bit ropey as others have said but … this product is great! We have a wide staircase with differing widths top and bottom on both sides and I needed a gate at the top as they are treacherous (old house!) I was dreading the installation but it took about 30 minutes (two of us and about 10 to take it down again). We fitted it by pressure not the screw system. It’s crucial to measure the width of your space and assemble the extension pieces before doing anything else. Place into position and tighten to fix. It might look as if it’s never going to fit but hang on in there and the magic happens! We had to fix it on the penultimate top step due to a lack of suitable fixing points but it was incredibly stable, and certainly high enough to prevent a two year old from pole vaulting over it! I used one extra fitting at the top to spread the load on my wall (available from Amazon) … I’d highly recommend.

The manufacturers would make life a lot simpler with good instructions. Nowhere do they explain that the frame looks distorted/bent(knew this from Amazon reviews -thank you reviewer). When the gate is mounted the pressure brings the gate into line with the frame. The other problem with the instructions is that they are in such small print and pictures. Surely they should be able to do better e.g. bigger print or reference a website or Youtube video. After fitting the gate seems sturdy enough and fiddly enough to open to prevent a small person opening it. Time alone will tell. Quality control is also not good. Had to send the first one back as the one fitting nut/bolt was damaged so that the adjustment nut would not run. There was no way to get a replacement bolt/nut so I had to return the whole thing which was a shame.

Really unfair reviews been left here so I’m here to give a fair one! Please ignore anybody who says that it’s misshaped/doesn’t fit/uneven. ALL baby gates come this way because you need to tighten the sides in to make it totally secure. So once you have tightened in the bolts then it fits together perfectly. I’ve had tonnes of baby gates and this is by far the easiest installation I’ve had. Instructions are clear. Lovely looking wide/extending gate. Just don’t make my mistake!!! Measure the width of skirting board too 😂. I’ve just managed to squeeze it in at the bottom which is great. Very sturdy, lovely looking, easy install, loads of bits to use if desired, clear instructions and speedy delivery. Cracking! Thank you

I bought the product with one extension to fit on a space of 90 cm. It fit perfectly and took me like 10 min to unpack and mount it. What made me buy it was the size of the gate's opening, that is bigger than the average. It's more comfortable and practical that way. And a rare feature in 'pressure' gates. No complaints what so ever, it works, it is easy to assemble and sturdy. Another perk is that I can take the extension off and fit it in a normal door if I need in the future.

This product has the worst instructions I have seen in a long time. It's pretty easy to set up, but since it's baby related, I've decided to be extra careful and tried to follow the instructions first. They're confusing, the images are tiny, the whole thing only begins to make sense once you figure it out yourself (shouldn't it be the other way round?) At a first glance, the gate seems faulty, warped out of shape. Once installed, the pressure from both sides straightens the frame out though. Phew, I already went to send it back, only gave it a second shot since the courier drop off point was not open. The adhesive pads deserve a separate mention, only one out of four was easy enough to peel off. I have no idea how anyone could mess up the concept of double sided sticky tape, but hey - they have. My nails will need a while to recover. The gate itself seems to work fine, but why did I have to go through all that nonsense first? When you make a product that looks damaged until properly installed, wouldn't it make sense to mention that in big print first? Also, please fire the person responsible for instructions and flog the one who makes the adhesive pads, seriously...
