This was delivered early and myself and my border collie dog love it. This is definitely sturdy strong robust neat for an inner doorway leading into a large porch area, also can leave front door open too as tall gate, if we both in the study lounge diner. Closing front door makes a great room space for my border collie who settled himself, toy and mat and vetbeds into position happily in between a spare crate and doors to finally lie down settle on mat. I must admit cynicism as opened the box eyed up the contents, was this ever going to close securely as appears a gap if you read instructions as I hate to, it reassures you when all comes together perfectly aligns all closure bolts and this is true. Five minutes nearer twenty minutes if not played one of these for decades, only because of door width not really fault of supplier. Advantages are the both way 90 degrees swing too as go through doors. Carefully researched for a very loving intelligent smart border collie, anyone who knows the breed is they figure out how to make something happen work train great or how to get out the door easily as so smart. He doesn't feel restricted or shut in, bars are small enough but wide enough definitely strong enough for a border collie dog. I think even if he was young it would do the job. The gate lock is novel, must admit have not gone for the total fit secure closure leaving no black mm, as almost wonder if it could be too secure. Easy to adjust the pressure points X4 by turning plastic screw bits and you do need all these fingered tight to ensure neat aligned fit and locks. It works does job perfectly despite initial wondering until finished the installation. One small female by self can do it no worries. Best to cut the plastic tie after you installed as keeps aligned but dont lock yourself in the smaller room without scissors. All in all perfect I am sure a more capable being could install assemble for 5 stars. Definitely a 5 star dog perspective product. Thank you and arrived within 12-24 hours not a few days as expected. It says has lifetime guarantee personally never in past 30 plus years had a gate break on me, depends on breed type I guess. Dog is about 16 kgs in weight I guess. Smart look too. Just popped the water bowl in now too for him after photo, its more a temporary space than long duration for him or for me can leave front door open for more breeze security as tall looking barrier if distance away from it. Bar spaces are narrower than picture not managed to push small tough kong ball through bars or wished to chew them or anything undesirable, looks pretty calm settled to me after throwing his ball around, rearranging it to satisfaction the room! I have an American Akita who is kept to a limited part of the house to limit mess and destruction. However few gates have withstood him. Our first one was firstly, too short, he probably could have climbed over if he really wanted to and he also figured out how to squeeze it open with his mouth and would paw at the bottom catches until they opened as well! Our second one was a lift latch type but over time with wear and tear from us going through it and the dog jumping on it the latch broke and was never quite repairable or sturdy again. Then in came gate number three! (This gate) The most expensive of the lot but the most worth it by far. It's super easy to install, incredibly sturdy, really tall, almost to the point my Akita doesn't even bother trying to jump up on it. The catch is super easy to use one handed and you can just pop it shut behind you with your foot if you're carrying things through. I also doubt my 'genius' dog would be able to open it. Our others were also white which got grubby quite quickly so it was nice to be able to get a black one. I imagine this one is going to last us a long time and I m super happy with it.

Fairly simple to fit and so far our strong Labrador has not managed to batter her way through it. The ability to leave the door open at 90 degrees without it swinging shut automatically has proved a useful feature. Ordering it was not straightforward - the gate is shown as suitable for gaps 73cm to 80cm but there was a box showing you could opt for 75cm to 84cm instead, which is what we needed. So we ticked that, but were sent 73cm to 80cm anyway. Luckily it fit OK because the bolts extend quite a way from the frame. Be aware that you are installing a trip hazard though as the bottom bar is fixed along the floor. Overall, a well-made, well-designed product that we think does the job needed.

Fantastic gate, we love the duel lock top and bottom and it's perfect for keeping out puppy down stairs now as she cannot climb over. Wish I had brough this gate first but was put off by the price originally, but now I think it is well worth the money.

The pressure mounted gate works very well. The pup cannot get through. This is a solid solution which does not need any creative problem. The height is great and the gate is secure. I bought some fences, which I initially thought were better because of the flexibility to move them. But the dog soon worked out how to move them and I had to get creative to make them work. I am happy with them as not every situation is suitable for a pressure mounted gate. The gate came with caps to protect the walls. The instructions recommend stick to the wall and the gate fixture. We didnt stick the cap to the wall, there was no need and it avoids the hassle of unsticking them later when we no longer need the gate. Its been working just fine and there's no evidence of movement. Top tip - the gate mechanism to open the gate is quiet! If it is noisy - follow this guidance - press down on the top lever first then pull up the bottom lever. Its a brilliant mechanism and is very easy. It just took us a little while to realise how to operate it properly.

Comes with cups to screw to door frame for a more secure fit if you need it, I found I didn't need them though. Fitted in a few minutes, works perfectly and looks great. I was kept informed about the delivery date and timeslot. Very happy with the quality of the gate and locking mechanism. I bought to keep the dog secure and would highly recommend this gate.
