Less then a month we have had this gate and the mechanism has stopped working (stuck in) and my 3 year old handed me 2 tiny springs. I don't know how they have come out as there doesn't seem to be any gaps in the lock for them to come out of but this in itself is dangerous to young children. Tried to do a return but not getting far with amazon as I "need a printer and arrange a collection" or pay for a return myself but amazon chat assistant wouldn't give me the address.

This gate & fittings were easy to assemble & fit. I do not have children but used for dog control. Works perfectly, locking/self closing mechanism works well and if you do not want it locked, but simply closed, the little feet can be turned down on the bottom bar.

Libérééééé… Délivréééé… Et surtout, sécurisé ! Depuis que notre enfant a compris que marcher, courir, et grimper étaient trois sports olympiques à pratiquer en intérieur, chaque journée s’apparentait à une mission de surveillance rapprochée. Impossible de tourner le dos sans que l’idée saugrenue de gravir les escaliers ne surgisse comme par magie. Et puis, on a découvert la barrière de sécurité Safety 1st Auto Close. Et là… transformation instantanée de notre maison en forteresse zen. Pour l'installation, c'est un vrai bonheur. Pas besoin de sortir la caisse à outils ni d’endosser le rôle de bricoleur du dimanche. Pas de trous à percer, pas de vis à perdre, pas de mur à massacrer. Le système à pression fait tout le boulot. L’ouverture se fait d’une seule main, ce qui est extrêmement pratique quand l’autre est souvent occupée (par un enfant, un sac de jouets ou un reste de goûter). Et la fermeture automatique ? C’est la cerise sur le gâteau : un petit clic rassurant qui dit « tout va bien, personne ne s’échappera aujourd’hui ». Le double verrouillage ajoute une couche de sécurité bienvenue, même pour les enfants les plus débrouillards. Ils peuvent tenter, ils n’y arriveront pas. Et ça… ça n’a pas de prix. Un excellent produit, pensé intelligemment, conçu pour la vraie vie des parents. Facile à poser, agréable à utiliser, et surtout, efficace. On recommande sans hésiter à tous ceux qui veulent un peu plus de sérénité
