This gate has broken, my toddler leant against it and it collapsed raking my toddler with it. The base unit that attaches to the wall is pretty flimsy, luckily the gate isn’t at the top of the stairs. We have several others of these gates around the house and all the shorter ones have a far sturdier based unit for some reason it’s wider than this long version of the gates. They’re not safe this version of the gate and should be discontinued and redesigned like other gates

I purchased this to close off my kitchen area due to having a small child. I had one previously for my old house but have moved and the one I had didn’t fit. I actually prefer this one, it’s easy to use, easy to install if you have the right walls for it. Just a note if it’s being attached to a plasterboard wall, as mine is, don’t use the wall plugs that come with it. Buy the proper plaster board wall plugs. I purchased the ones that clip in and grip the plasterboard and ended up with a bigger hole than needed. Over all a great gate. Smooth to open and close, and most certainly does the job. Although my daughter is now learning from watching how it’s opened!!

Good quality material,we liked the ease of installation and being able to take the gate off the stairs when grandkids have gone home!. Gate retracts nicely and large button at top of gate allows you to pull the gate across.easy to wipe down. We use this at the bottom of the stairs to stop little people climbing the stairs.I'm not sure that I would use it at the top of the stairs, but that is just my opinion. Would recommend

We got this to keep our dog in our bedroom as she likes to wonder out in the middle of the night and start playing with toys. When this showed up, we were surprised at how big and substantial it was. Certainly, this is designed to keep a dog/child in a room or out of a room and put them off re-attempting to break through it should they try. To put it up, you will need to fit the 'roller' that has the mesh gate built into it onto one wall and then the hooks on the opposing wall. Once you have done this, you can pull the gate across and hook it up. Once in place, it's there and only an adult will be able to take it back down. The material the gate itself is made from is like a thick mesh. Although it's soft in terms of impact, it's very durable and hard to penetrate. I really liked that this can be kept installed all day, all night, all year round and you can just undo it and then do it up to create the gate as needed.
