Had a look at multiple stairgates for our dog and pulled the trigger on this one and glad we did . Its good quality and was fairly easy to fit . Once fitted and in use what we liked about it was the fact it didn't sag like other stair gates of this build have tended to do. Our dog has no way of getting past it and its so handy when we have guests and we don't want the dog jumping all over them. Its also not to big and bulky so when its not being used it looks nice and compact against our wall and does not jut out like an eyesaw.

This is about the 3rd gate that we have ordered and chosen to finally keep it. 2 previously ordered gates in the same and a much higher price bracket had to go back due to being unsteady and either too low or too weak or just flimsy. Pros: easy to close, automatically locks when retracted and extended to create tension, colour button to show whether it's in a locked or unlocked state, easy to instal, good tension. Cons: my mini dachshound can still get under it sadly so we have to barricade it with extra things. Bigger dogs can scratch the plastic material with their claws. I will still not accept having a metal gate because it's bulky and reduces space. This is ideal for when you need to temporarily separate a space.

We previously had an old style metal baby gate which was bulky and took a lot of space. However we tried this. Fits so easy, and as it’s retractable it isn’t an obvious eyesore as other gates can be. The grey material is lovely and fits well with my colour scheme. We use it to put our dog in her room over night and she doesn’t pine either because she can still see through it. Once on it is sturdy and secure and the main thing i like about it, it comes with an extra clip so you could install it elsewhere and then just move the gate from one door to another in seconds. Great value for money.

Nice colour. Easy to fit with 2 sets of mounts and skirting options. Especially like the two sets of holes on the hooks, meaning you can mount on any situation. I have inside door frame and across bottom of stairs. Really solid when fixed in Easy to operate. We have another that you cannot do 1 handed as you have to twist a knob. This is nice and easy. Nice quiet operation, no loud clicking.
