Got this so we could leave the back door open in the summer. The height is perfect. The gate works really well, was very easy to put together and install, ideal if you can’t drill holes as it’s held in place by tension. Fits the space well, & is easily adjusted to fit. Keeps the cat safe, he’s not the brightest so even if it’s not locked he can’t get out! (He’s harness trained so he does usually wait until his on his lead before going out the door.) It is really easy to open & close though. Added benefit of not letting any foxes in either! 🦊 It arrived a bit bashed up in places, but overall it’s built well & seems sturdy.

I’ve just put this up in my home and I don’t know if it’s going to be a👍🏻or a 👎🏻 att . The gate appears very flimsy and not very stable . I don’t think it would take very much pressure to break it , if I’m wrong I’ll be back to up date but athe the moment I’m really don’t have much faith in it ? After using these for a few week I can definitely say they are incredibly flimsy- not at all suitable for dog or kids and a lot to pay for a cat door! I’ve hade to reinforce mine with additional metal stair gates as I have an escapee mad Boston - build it higher and she thinks it’s a challenge to jump it ! Been using these for a few months now a yes extremely flimsy, plastic closing bars snapped in two places on both , the light weight bars are bent and this is from a cat and an 8 kilo dog pushing the bars . These were definitely not worth the money, they are not sturdy enough to do the job at all and literally fall apart ! Hopefully we’ll find one that has a stronger integrity- plus they are so ugly to look at !

This is a great cat gate, looks nice too. We used it to separate an opening on our floor rather than an actual doorway. The extra expansion pole really helps: in our case we just taped it due to having crown moulding in the way. We have 8’ high ceilings and the poles could be expanded to reach the ceiling. The construction is sturdy and the door opening/auto-close feature is very useful. The bars are well spaced out, my small cat cannot pass through. The double latch feature is great, it gives extra reassurance that our cat won’t bust through the gate door when closed. The instructions were pretty clear. We are very happy with our purchase.

They mostly work great ( I have two). Pros: the cats can't jump over them. They lock so that the cats can't paw them open. There are 2 locks, they could paw the bottom one, but not the top one, very clever. They are easy to install. They work really well, and are a good value. The only issue I've had, is that the rod comes loose with use over time (they use tensile strength to connect ceiling to floor). So that you have to tighten them, which happens every couple of weeks if you use them regularly, like a bedroom (there is a knob you turn to tighten them back up). But that is the trade off for not permanently installing something and having holes in your doors or ceiling/floor. It did restore peace to my house, I have a tortie that iis special, slightly violent to the other cats (and people). Now she is thrilled to have the bedroom to herself, her special area, and the other cats are thrilled to not be attacked daily, or even hissed at! It seems she doesn't hate them, as long as they are on the other side of the gate. Success and peace! Worth it!
